ROYAL DANISH FISH OFFER A WIDE ASSORTMENT OF SMOKED FISH AND OTHER FISH-SPECIALTIES


 

We are the only company in world that produces smoked eel which are certified by The Sustainable Eel Standard. These eels are raised in our own Aquaculture farm in Hanstholm. For you, as the costumer, this means that you have full traceability in all of the eels’ lifespan from fingerling to the finished product.


We are also the only company in Europe producing kabayaki and shirayaki in a large scale for the European market. Our knowledge of these specialties comes from our close cooperation with the Japanese, who also are the main buyers of this product. We are only using our own farmed eel, so we can secure a soft and tasty product. The soy sauces used is supplied from Japan or other reliable suppliers.


Smoked trout is also one of our core competences. We have these produced in Turkey, were we have a source of very high quality trout, which have been raised in clean mountain lakes. The trout are smoked after an old recipe. This involves smoking the whole fish, so as to get a better taste and structure in the meat. 


As a niche production, we produce scrambled eggs and other related specialties, which are good supplements to our smoked fish products.
